VILLAGE TAX COLLECTION:
The Village of Mohawk tax collection period is June - October. Payment methods: cash or check only. Checks can be made payable to "Village of Mohawk Tax Collector." Please mail, place in drop box, or pay in person to the Village or Municipal Offices. Herkimer County Treasurer collects unpaid taxes after October 31st. Village elections are held every 3rd Tuesday in June, every year. Election notices are posted in the Times Telegram, in the Village Office hallway & front window. Notices begin in January.
